ABOUT THE ROLE

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipments and ensure smooth communication among shippers, carriers, and customers.
  • Manage transportation schedules and documentation for inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Monitor daily logistics activities to identify and resolve delays or service gaps.
  • Verify shipment accuracy, cost efficiency, and carrier performance.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to update on delivery status and scheduling.
  • Support billing, claims, and inventory processes by ensuring accurate shipment records.

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Schedule and dispatch freight according to client priorities and service commitments.
  • Track shipments through TMS or carrier portals and follow up on exceptions.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
  • Liaise with warehousing, procurement, and customer service teams to align schedules.
  • Verify carrier invoices and confirm delivery completion before billing.
  • Generate daily logistics reports summarizing shipment status and performance.
